The rogue is always a character I've believed needed more love than she got. I look around and see a very small amount of fan-art dedicated to Diablo 1 and 2 characters, and it always just sickens me. Diablo 1 and 2 had such better delivery than Diablo 3. The people writing the script for Diablo 3 wouldn't know subtlety if it ran up and screamed at them.
Wow, you're so beautiful and I love the hairstyle and head ornament - is there a special name for that sort of thing? Also I like the deep red leather look of the costuming (seen better in other pics), and your lip shade is going perfectly with it here. Fabulous eyes and eye make-up too. If you don't mind me saying though, the glove looks totally modern - like a driving glove maybe - making it seem very out of place (when seen close up at least). So if you give this archer costume another outing and have some more pics taken - and I sure hope you do - I think better gloves could really help seal the look. A closer fit to the fingers would be nice too (like, real snug). But still, you look fabulous!
Yeah I know about the gloves. I hate them and wish I had time to sort out something better. I tried making a pair but that ended in tears and disaster. Next time I wear this costume there will be better gloves and boots.
So you're going to wear it again? Great, that's something for us to look forward to then. I'm not surprised about your glove-making ending in tears. I bet it's really hard to make good-fitting gloves, let alone ones in leather (if that's what you were using). As for the boots, I only saw them in one shot and didn't see anything amiss from that angle - and they seemed nicely decorated.
Even leather would've been easier than the stiff pleather I tried using. The boots are lovely but they run an entire size too small (weird) so that day at the con ended up being very painful. I'd love to get some cool cathedral shots with some firelight or something.
Stiff pleather? Wow, that was a strange choice. I don't know a thing about archery but I'm guessing that a gloved archer would want really soft leather to mould to the hands. As for your painful conference day (hey, all in a good cause!), I can't resist asking you how much attention you got. I mean, looking as spectacular as you do, I think you must've turned an awful lot of heads!
I didn't have a whole lot of fabric choices at the time. People liked the costume but it was a small convention so it's hard to gauge the reaction to it. Lots of photos for sure. And some snippy comments but thats the way it goes, hey
Snippy comments huh? I thought convention-goers might be more cool and respectful with things like this (I mean, they should count themselves lucky), but I suppose you're always going to get some guys being tiresome.
